What can a teacher do?

It is amazing to see how a few students can make a difference in the life of a simple teacher. One can see how special they are or how insensitive. Foremost, the students do not see teacher as human beings. They exist to make their lifes either interesting or miserable. Teachers are either their antagonists or the crazy persons that forces them to learn something they are not interested in. Which ever the case, I find myself wondering how the public school system is going to deal with the increase of electronics in the classroom. Those few amazing students will follow the rules as much as possible, but the temptation of the electronics is too much to ignore. The insensitive ones, will ignore all the rules, and make mom and dad talk to the teacher and show him or her how unfair life is when it comes to learning. Well, we went through this type of rebellion once, during the decade of the sixties, college students didn't like the change in curriculum, which included more math and science, back then most of the population of our country didn't care that the Sputnik was in orbit. So now, what is the reason for this new twenty first century student rebellion? Students cannot connect to the wide world web in the classroom.
